Job Title: Graphic Designer
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in web and print design
- Graphic/Digital Design training and an interest in fashion with strong commercial awareness
- Thorough and meticulous with extreme attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Varied portfolio that includes ecommerce sites and marketing campaigns is an advantage.
- Experience in applying a brand’s look and feel with consistency and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design
- Familiarity with best practices in UI/UX design and designing for multiple screen resolutions
- Understanding and working knowledge of HTML/CSS, Dreamweaver, 3rd party email senders and CMS systems
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task across projects
- Extremely and demonstrably well organized.
- Efficient with a can do attitude
- A passion for creating work that resonates on an emotional level.
- Strong conceptual designer with the ability to communicate clearly, while also maintaining depth in their work.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
- You must be completely comfortable working with limited guidance to produce high-quality designs through to print and web ready standards.
Responsibility
- Designing digital assets across a range of materials, including promos, social, affiliate banners, email marketing campaigns, look books and brochures
- Designing seasonal launches for the channel and website in line with the company calendar
- Working with external print suppliers through to final artwork delivery
- Design, coding and delivery of all weekly emails in standard and mobile formats
- Retouching, colour correcting and optimisation of images for the web and editing photography to ensure brand consistency.
- Work with Editorial, Photography, Fashion, Marketing teams to design and deliver excellent visual site and brand imagery with quality and performance.
- Create visual designs that effectively communicate seasonal concepts and brand identity, including the design and production of onsite layouts, interface elements, iconography, typography, style guides, etc.
- Participate in project ideation and conceptual development based on creative and design direction
- Critically evaluate the creative process and work to improve with the design team
- Design of promotional web/print material such as look-books, magazines, guides, and presentations.
- Become a brand guardian by reviewing designs for consistency
- Ad hoc hands on design and sub-editing to i.e.: retouching, colour correcting and optimisation of images for the web
